History Museum Heist
-Unreal Engine 4-

Gameplay Design - Scripting - Asset Placement - Project Management

I led a small team of around eight other students in creating a third person, 3D puzzle game, using the Unreal Engine 4.

A cat burglar has broken into the museum of ancient history to steal it's priceless artefacts after it closed for the night. But in order get to the loot, she first has to solve the museum's puzzle based security system, all whilst avoiding the vigilant yet easily scared security guard.

We designed and created two levels for the game demo. One set in an Egyptian tomb exhibit, featuring a puzzle to push and rotate large mirrors in order to reflect the four separate light beams to their receivers. Thus unlocking the Pharaoh's treasure chest.

The second challenges the player to cause several distractions such as: ringing the gong by striking it with an arrow, setting off fireworks, and knocking over samurai armour to lure the security guard away. Finally activating the animatronic dragon to scare him out of the exhibit for good, clearing access to the hut containing the sacred samurai's sword.
